This Double Chocolaty Chip Starbucks copycat recipe is delicious and chock-full of chocolate! As a bonus, it is caffeine free since there is no coffee so it’s great for all ages! Though, if you do want that extra pick-me-up (and the massive amount of sugar isn’t enough) you can still add in some coffee to make this drink perfect for you.
This recipe is a single serving and makes about the equivalent of a 16oz Grande from Starbucks.
2c ice
3/4c milk* – use whatever type you would like;
3 tbsp chocolate sauce
3 tbsp simple syrup (or 3 tbsp of sugar, but simple syrup blends in better)
1/4c chocolate chips
Whipped topping
More chocolate sauce and mini chocolate chips for topping
Blender
Ice cube trays
Measuring cups and spoons
Cups for serving
Straws
*Feel free to replace 1/4c of the milk with strong coffee.
Throw everything (including the chocolate chips) in the blender and mix it up! You want to get those chocolate chips as broken up as you can so that the drink will be easier to suck through a straw later.
Just a warning that the chocolate chips probably will sink to the bottom of the cup eventually, but it really depends on how much you were able to blend them up and how fast the drink melts. The bigger the chips and the faster it melts, the faster they sink.
