Cheese Pound Cake

The texture is perfect — dense, but not heavy. Make sure to allow it to cool for 5 to 10 minutes in the pan. Then the cake will fall right out without sticking.

1 1⁄2 cups butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preheat oven to 300°F.

Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar together.

Add eggs one at a time.

Add vanilla and then flour slowly.

Pour into a bundt pan or Tube pan.

Bake for 1 1/2 hours.

IMPORTANT: Do not try and rush by cooking faster in a hotter oven.
