1 (11.5-ounce) bottle sweet & sour sauce
1/3 cup pineapple juice
2 garlic cloves, pressed
1 tablespoon brown sugar
4 pounds pork spareribs (or beef ribs, if desired)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Stir together first 4 ingredients.
Prepare fire by piling charcoal or lava rocks on each side of grill, leaving center empty. Place a drip pan in center. Coat food rack with vegetable cooking spray, and place on grill.
Sprinkle ribs with salt. Arrange ribs over drip pan. Grill, covered with grill lid, 2 hours and 30 minutes, basting with sweet-and-sour sauce every 30 minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
