1-1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4c grated onion
2tbl commercial steak sauce
1tbl minced fresh parsley
1teaspoon salt
1/4teaspoon pepper
1teaspoon grated lemon rind
Romaine lettuce
6 Kaiser rolls, or hamburger buns, sliced in half
1 large tomato, cut into 6 pieces
Mushroom Sauce (to follow)
2 tbl chopped chives
Combine first 7 ingred., mix well. Shape into 6 patties about 3/4 inch thick. Grill over med-hot coals 8-10 min. on each side, or desired doneness. Place lettuce on bottom half of each roll; top with patty, tomato slice, Mushroom sauce, and chives. Cover with top, and serve immediately.
Mushroom Sauce
1/2lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
3tbl butter or margarine, melted
2teaspoon Dijon mustard
Sauté mushrooms in buter till tender and liquid is evaporated. Add Dijon, stirring well.
