1 large rutabaga, peeled, diced, cooked & drained
15 ml butter 1 tbsp
125 ml milk 1/2 cup
375 ml apples, peeled & sliced 1 1/2 cup
50 ml brown sugar 1/4 cup
1 ml cinnamon (optional) 1/4 tsp
50 ml all purpose flour 1/4 cup
50 ml brown sugar 1/4 cup
25 ml butter 2 tbsp
Mash rutabaga with butter and milk. Set aside. In small bowl; toss apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. In greased casserole dish; arrange layers of mashed turnip and apples, beginning and ending with turnip. In small bowl; combine butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over casserole. Bake at 350 F (180 C) 45 to 60 minutes.
