Vary the heat and spiciness of this burger by using mild to hot salsa.
1 pound lean ground beef
4 hamburger buns
4 (1-ounce) slices LAND O LAKES® Monterey Jack or Pepper Jack Cheese Rounds
1/4 cup salsa
4 sprigs fresh cilantro
Heat gas grill to medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
Meanwhile, shape ground beef into 4 (3/4-inch) thick patties.
Place patties on grill. Grill, turning once, until cooked through (15 to 18 minutes). Top each burger with 1 slice cheese. Continue grilling until cheese is melted (1 to 2 minutes).
To serve, place 1 burger on bottom half of bun; top with 1 tablespoon salsa, 1 sprig cilantro and top half of bun. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
Makes 4 sandwiches.
