Layered Mexican Dip

8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
16 ounces Salsa
1 Lb Ground Beef, browned and drained
4 ounces Green Chiles, chopped
1 Env Taco Seasoning Mix
1/4 cup Onion, chopped
1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese, grated

Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup salsa until creamy. Spread in bottom of 9-10 serving dish. Add half the chiles, taco seasoning, and onion to the browned ground beef. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly. Spread meat mixture over cream cheese. Sprinkle with shredded cheese, remaining taco sauce and chiles.

Yield: 2-1/2 cup
