Grilled Burgers Latino

Cooked bacon is crumbled and mixed in with the ground beef and spices before the patties are formed.

6 strips of bacon
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons chopped onions
1 fresh green chili pepper, seeded, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 avocado, peeled, pitted, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
1 package hamburger bun

Cook strips of bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel. Crumble bacon and mix with ground beef, onion, green chili peppers, garlic, cumin and cinnamon.

Divide into patties and grill to an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C) – well done.

Serve with sliced avocado and sliced tomato over hamburger buns.

Makes 4 servings.
