Cheesy Shrimp Canapes

10 slices white bread
2 teaspoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves
1 4 ounces package frozen shrimp deveined, cooked and chopped
1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon salt
fresh dill for garnish

Cut circles from bread, using cookie cutter (two circles per slice). Melt butter with thyme. Using pastry brush, cover bread circles with butter mixture; place on small cookie sheet. Bake in 400 oven 10 minutes or until circles are golden. Meanwhile, combine shrimp with remaining ingredients except dill. Shape mixture into 20 balls. Preheat broiler. Lightly press shrimp balls onto toasted bread circles and place in broiler 7 to 9 inches from heat. Broil 10 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
