750 ml macaroni noodles 3 cup
20 ml vegetable oil 4 tsp
625 ml milk 2 1/2 cup
30 ml butter 2 tbsp
30 ml flour 2 tbsp
5 ml dried tarragon 1 tsp
500 ml cheddar cheese, grated 2 cup
2 apples, peeled & chopped 2
2 onions, chopped 2
Cook pasta according to package directions for al dente. In a small saucepan; combine milk, butter, flour, tarragon and bit of salt; mix well. Heat over low heat. Add 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) cheese and stir until cheese is melted. In a 2 quart (2 L) casserole dish; blend noodles, cheese sauce, apples and onions. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Cover and bake in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 30 minutes.
