Beef and Bacon Macaroni

4 bacon slices, chopped
1 small onion, finely chopped
350 g lean ground beef 3/4 lb
75 ml tomato paste 1/3 cup
125 ml chicken stock 1/2 cup
300 ml macaroni noodles, cooked 1 1/4 cup
125 ml cheddar cheese, grated 1/2 cup

In skillet; saute bacon until cooked. Set aside on absorbent paper. Drain off any excess fat from skillet. Add onion and saute until softened. Add beef and cook until brown. Stir in tomato paste and chicken stock.

In a casserole dish; place cooked macaroni. Pour in beef mixture and gently mix. Top with cheese. Bake in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for 25 minutes.
