Pasta Sauce Marco Polo

1 cup chopped nuts or sunflower seeds
2/3 cup chopped black olives
1/2 cup chopped pimiento or red bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped parsley (fresh)
1 teaspoon (or more) basil (or use fresh basil)
salt
pepper

Mix ingredients and toss gently with pasta. Goes best with pasta that has been blended with a mixture of 1 tablespoon of oil and a few crushed garlic cloves after the oil and garlic has been cooked on moderate heat for one minute.
