Make an appetizer that’s more appealing: Stuff bell peppers with cream cheese, mayo and garlic then top with spicy CHI-CHI’S® Salsa.
4 red or green bell peppers
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup CHI-CHI’S® Thick & Chunky Salsa Mild
Remove tops from bell peppers. Cut peppers in half; remove seeds. Cut each pepper half into 4 to 6 pieces each, depending on size of peppers.
Heat broiler. Broil bell pepper pieces 3 to 4 inches from heat source 4 to 5 minutes or just until surface starts to blister. Remove from oven; turn pepper pieces skin-side-down.
In small bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise and garlic; mix well. Drop small spoonful of cream cheese mixture onto each bell pepper piece.
Broil bell pepper pieces 3 to 4 minutes or just until cheese mixture begins to bubble. Top each appetizer with salsa to serve.
