1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon beef bouillon granulates
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/8 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
4 hamburger buns
Preheat barbecue grill.
In a large bowl mix together ground beef, dry bread crumbs, water, beef bouillon, grated lemon peel, lemon juice, salt, sage, ginger, pepper, and liquid hot pepper sauce.
Shape the mixture into 4 patties, each about 3/4-inch thick.
Grill the patties 4 inches from the heat, turning once, until done, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve over hamburger buns.
Makes 4 servings.
