1 package (8-1/2 ounces) corn bread mix.
1/4 cup sour cream or sour half-and-half
2 tablespoons chopped red or green peppers
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 teaspoon chili powder
Make cornbread according to package directions, adding sour cream, peppers, onion and 2 teaspoons chili powder. Mix softened butter and 3/4 teaspoon chili powder. Serve with corn bread.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
Mixture can also be baked in muffin pans.
