Poppy Seed Cake with Orange Glaze

3 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs
1-1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup oil
2-1/4 cups sugar
1-1/2 tablespoons poppy seed
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1-1/2 teaspoons almond extract
1-1/2 teaspoons butter flavoring (optional)

Orange Glaze:
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup sugar

Combine the flour, salt, baking powder, eggs, milk, butter, oil, sugar, poppy seed, vanilla, almond extract and butter flavoring in large mixer bowl. Beat on high for 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured pans (2 large loaf pans, 5 small loaf pans or a Bundt pan). Bake at 350 degrees. Allow Bundt cakes or large loaf tins to bake 60 to 65 minutes and small pans for 25 minutes. Let cool in pans for 10 minutes. Remove and glaze cakes immediately.

To make glaze, mix almond extract, vanilla, orange juice and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
