Orange Poppy Salad Dressing

40 ml sugar 3 tbsp
7 ml orange peel, finely shredded 1 1/2 tsp
30 ml orange juice 2 tbsp
30 ml vinegar 2 tbsp
15 ml onion, finely chopped 1 tbsp
dash of pepper
75 ml vegetable oil 1/3 cup
5 ml poppy seeds 1 tsp

In a blender, combine sugar, orange peel, orange juice, vinegar, onion and pepper. Cover and blend until combined. With blender running, slowly add vegetable oil in steady stream until mixture is thickened. Stir in poppy seeds. Serve immediately or cover and store in refrigerator for up to 1 week. Shake well before serving over salad.
