Meat Ball & Noodle Casserole for 50

Mix

7 lbs hamburger
8 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups bread crumbs
2 tablespoons salt
2 teaspoons pepper

1 cup oil.

Form into balls 1 inch in diameter. Brown all sides in 1 cup oil.

Add

3 cups chopped onion
3 cups chopped celery
6 ( 26 ounce )cans tomatoes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup sugar

4 lbs noodles, cooked
1 cup melted butter
2 cups flour

Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. While meat balls are simmering, cook 4 lbs noodles in salted water for about 7 minutes. Drain and rinse. Mix 1 cup melted butter and 2 cups flour. Add meat ball mixture, stirring until ‘thick. Serve meat balls over noodles.

Serves 50.
