3 cups sugar
1 cup oil
2 cups canned pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3-1/3 cups bread flour
1-1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Mix first 10 ingredients together; stir in beaten eggs; add walnuts (if desired). Pour into 4 greased 1-pound loaf pans.
Fill containers half full. Do not flour cans. Bake at 350F for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool before serving.
