3 tablespoon guava paste (found in Asian groceries)
4 cups apple cider vinegar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
3 dried chipotle chiles, stemmed and seeded
2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon molasses
2 tablespoon tomato paste
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
Combine all ingredients in a heavy non-aluminum pot and bring to a rolling boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, or until thick. Serve warm.
Makes 1-1/2 cups.
