Chopped green chiles give these hamburgers a southwestern twist.
Burgers Ingredients:
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (4-ounce) can chopped green chiles
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 (3/4-ounce) slices LAND O LAKES® Deli Jalapeño Cheese Food
Toppings Ingredients:
Jalapeño chiles
Lettuce
Salsa
LAND O LAKES® Sour Cream
Tomato slices
Heat broiler. Meanwhile, combine onion, ground beef, chiles, hot pepper sauce and salt in medium bowl; mix lightly. Shape into 4 (3/4-inch thick) patties.
Place patties onto ungreased broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat, turning once, until desired doneness (15 to 20 minutes).
To serve, place burgers on serving plate; top with cheese slices. Serve with desired toppings.
Makes 4 sandwiches.
