Garbanzo Bean Burgers

1 can garbanzo beans, rinsed & drained (19 oz / 540 ml)
75 ml Monterey jack cheese, grated 1/3 cup
75 ml fine dry bread crumbs 1/3 cup
50 ml red onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup
30 ml fresh cilantro, chopped 2 tbsp
1 large egg, fork beaten
125 ml salsa 1/2 cup
4 hamburger buns

Process garbanzo beans in food processor until consistency of coarse bread crumbs. Add cheese, bread crumbs, onion, cilantro and egg. Process until well combined.

Shape into 4 patties. BBQ over medium heat on preheated BBQ for 5 minutes per side.

Serve on hamburger bun with salsa.
