Crunchy Cabbage Salad

SALAD
1 large head savoy cabbage
5 green onions, chopped
45 ml butter 3 tbsp
2 packages ramen noodles (discard soup flavouring)
125 ml sesame seeds 1/2 cup
125 ml almonds, sliced 1/2 cup

DRESSING
250 ml vegetable oil 1 cup
5 ml soy sauce 1 tsp
125 ml white vinegar 1/2 cup
250 ml sugar 1 cup

Mix cabbage and onion in a large bowl; set aside.

Melt butter in frying pan over medium heat. Break noodles in small pieces and brown along with sesame seeds and almonds.

To make dressing; mix together all dressing ingredients and microwave to dissolve the sugar. Let cool, about 20 minutes, before serving.

Toss together all salad ingredients and before serving; add dressing.

Serves 6
