1 small onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
2 large green apples, peeled cored and sliced
2 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoon sage
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 to 2-1/2 lbs boneless pork loin, trimmed of fat and cut into 1 in cubes
1/2 cup dry white wine
1-1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
1/3 cup whipping cream
In a 3 qt or larger crockpot, combine onion, garlic, and apples; sprinkle with sugar, sage, white pepper and nutmeg. Coat pork cubes with flour, then arrange over apple mixture. Pour in wine. Cover and cook on low 7 1/2 to 8-1/2 hours. When pork is done, mix cornstarch and cream in small bowl; blend into pork mixture. Increase crockpot setting to high; cover and cook 10 to 15 more minutes.
