Chocolate Sour Cream Waffles

Warm, sweet and chocolatey, these waffles are a real treat — especially with a scoop of frozen yogurt and strawberries.

Waffles Ingredients:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup LAND O LAKES NoFat Sour Cream
1/2 cup fat free skim milk
1/4 cup LAND O LAKES Butter, melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping Ingredients:
2 cups lowfat vanilla frozen yogurt or ice milk
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

Heat waffle iron to medium-high heat. In large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa and baking powder. In medium bowl stir together sour cream, milk, butter, egg and vanilla until smooth; stir into flour mixture until well blended. Pour about 2 tablespoons batter onto center of each section of waffle iron. Bake according to waffle iron directions (about 3 to 4 minutes).

To serve, place waffle on individual dessert plate. Top with scoop of frozen yogurt and strawberries. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.

Makes 6 servings.

TIP: Waffle batter can be made into pancakes.
