Candied Brandied Cranberries

1 (1-lb) bag fresh cranberries
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons brandy
Additional sugar for sprinkling over berries when done.

Place cranberries in a dish and look over to eliminate any stray stems or bad berries. Transfer berries to a shallow baking pan large enough for berries to lay flat. Sprinkle with 2 cups sugar. Cover tightly, using double foil if pan doesn’t have a lid. Bake 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool. Stir in brandy and sprinkle with additional sugar. lightly. Spoon into a handsome glass bowl or jar and sent it on its way.
