Brandied Apricot Sauce

1/2 chopped dried apricots
1-1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons castor sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons brandy

Combine apricots, water, sugar and cinnamon in a pan, simmer, covered, about 5 minutes or until apricots are soft, cool. Blend or process apricot mixture with the brandy until smooth.
