3 cans bing cherries ( 16 ounce can each )
3, 3 ounce packages black cherry gelatin
2-1/4 cups boiling water
1-1/2 cups dry sherry
2-1/4 cups cherry syrup ( from the drained cherries or use bottled syrup )
1-1/2 cups sour cream
1-1/2 cups thin sliced almonds
Drain cherries and reserve juice. Dissolve gelatin in the boiling water. Add cherry syrup and sherry. Chill until partially set. Fold in sour cream, cherries and almonds. Pour into a large deep mold and chill until set.
Serves 12 or more.
