30 ml vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
500 ml tomatoes, chopped
2 ml basil
1 ml pepper
500 g asparagus, cut into 1 inch (2.5 cm) pieces
225 g pasta, cooked according to package directions
In large skillet, heat oil. Add onion and saute until soft. Add tomatoes, basil, pepper and asparagus. Simmer, with lid ajar, until asparagus is tender, about 10 minutes. Meanwhile cook noodles until tender, then drain. Serve asparagus and sauce over noodles.
