3 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup sliced green onions
3 Tblsp. vinegar
1 Tblsp water
2 Tblsp. sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 lbs. fresh asparagus in 1-1/2 in. pieces
3 peeled tomatoes cut in wedges.
Sauté onion in bacon grease, till transparent. Add vinegar, water, sugar, salt. Bring to boil and add asparagus. Cover and cook 5 min. Add tomato. Cover and cook 3 min. Baste veg. with liquid during cooking. Sprinkle with bacon & serve.
