Early American Chop Suey for 100

Brown 15 lbs hamburger in a heavy kettle. Add 3 quarts chopped onions and cook until soft:

Add
3 No. 10 cans tomatoes
1 No. 10 can tomato purée
6 tablespoons salt
3 teaspoon pepper

Cook slowly for 35 min.

Boil 6 lbs macaroni in salted water according to directions on package. Drain, rinse in hot water, and drain again. Combine meat mixture and macaroni and divide into 5 greased baking pans. Sprinkle with grated American cheese and bake at 375 for about 20 minutes.

Serves 100.
