Brunch, Lunch or Dinner Potatoes

2 sweet potatoes or yams, cut into thick strips
4 potatoes, cut into thick strips
25 ml olive oil 2 tbsp
15 ml garlic clove, minced 3 tbsp
2 ml fresh nutmeg, grated 1/2 tsp
salt & pepper to taste

Steam potatoes separately until tender but still firm. Place non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add oil and tilt the pan to coat the sides. Add garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds. Add sweet potatoes and continue stir-frying for 2 to 3 minutes. Add potatoes; cook, stirring often for 15 to 20 minutes until all the potatoes are slightly browned. Add nutmeg, salt and pepper; cook, stirring for 2 to 3 minutes longer.

Serves 4
