5 potatoes
3 carrots
3 onions
175 ml uncooked rice 3/4 cup
500 g ground beef 1 lb
1 can peas
1 can tomato soup
Wash and pare vegetables. Slice 3 potatoes and place in bottom of 9 inch (2.5 L) casserole. Cover potatoes with a layer of thinly sliced carrots. Top with sliced onions. Sprinkle rice on top of onions.
Brown beef. Arrange over rice. Drain peas, reserving liquid. Place over beef. Combine liquid from peas with soup. Pour over casserole. Slice remaining 2 potatoes and place on top. Cover and bake in preheated 350 F (180 C) oven for approximately 2 hours. Remove cover and bake for 15 minutes.
