375 ml shrimp, chicken, pork or beef strips 1 1/2 cup
1 celery stalk
1 broccoli stalk
6 mushrooms
2 onion slices
1/2 small zucchini 1/2
1/2 sweet red pepper 1/2
50 ml bottled chili sauce 1/4 cup
50 ml liquid honey 1/4 cup
25 ml soy sauce 1/8 cup
50 ml water 1/4 cup
50 ml corn starch 1/4 cup
Put corn starch in plastic bag, shake shrimp, chicken, pork or beef strips, until coated. Add just enough oil into large pan to barely coat bottom; add meat and stir-fry until almost cooked through. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add vegetables that have been cut uniformly into bite-sized pieces and continue to stir-fry until tender-crisp. Add water to de-glaze pan. Mix chili sauce, honey and soy sauce; pour into pan, stirring to spread evenly. Add a bit more corn starch mixed in water for thickening, if necessary. Bring sauce to boil for 30 seconds. Serve over rice.
