6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
2 cups beef broth or consomme
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 cups hot cooked rice
Cook flour and butter in medium skillet over low heat until brown, stirring constantly. Gradually add broth. Cook, stirring, until mixture boils and thickens. Add garlic powder, pepper and Worcestershire sauce; continue cooking 1 minute. Serve over hot rice.
Makes 6 servings.
