2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 large eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan; set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour and baking soda. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in walnuts. The batter will be stiff, but continue stirring until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Spread batter into baking pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and cut into squares.
Makes 24 squares.
