Pecan Waffles

2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1-3/4 cups milk
1/3 cup butter, melted
1 cup chopped pecans
Butter for accompaniment
Maple syrup for accompaniment

Combine flour, baking powder, and sugar. Add eggs and milk; mix well. Stir in 1/3 cup melted butter and chopped pecans.

Bake in a hot waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s directions. Serve with butter and maple syrup.

Makes 5 servings.
