No baking required for these kid-friendly soft and chewy granola bars.
1/4 cup granola sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups granola cereal
Combine sugar, syrup and butter in a medium bowl.
Microwave on HIGH until sugar dissolves, about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, stirring once.
Add peanut butter; mix until smooth. Blend in granola.
Press granola mixture firmly into a greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
Refrigerate until set, about 30 to 45 minutes.
Remove from pan; place on cutting board, slice into bars and serve.
Makes 16 bars.
