1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecan halves
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
In a microwave-safe baking dish, combine sugar, light corn syrup, and salt. Cover and microwave on HIGH for 4 minutes.
Add pecan halves, vanilla, butter, and baking soda; stir well.
Pour into a buttered 9 x 13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Cool before breaking into pieces.
Makes 18 servings.
