White Sauce
1 cup non-fat milk
1/2 cup low-fat margarine
1 (8 ounce) package Neufachatel cheese, cubed
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon onion salt
1-2 teaspoons powdered bouillon
In large sauce pan on med-high, combine cubed margarine and Neufachatel and milk. Add in garlic powder and minced garlic, onion salt and bouillon. If you’re going to add vegetables, now is the time. Broccoli, mushrooms and peppers are especially good, about 2-4 cups works. If you’re feeling naughty, add a cup of Parmesan to really deepen the flavor. Stir well until melted and blended, takes about 2-4 minutes without vegetables, about 6-9 with. Mix up with about 12 ounces of some nice pasta, linguini or angel-hair is good, and enjoy.
