Low Fat Holiday Yams

1 cup brown sugar
6 medium yams, cooked, peeled and quartered OR 3 cans (16 ounce each) yams, drained
1/2 cup water
2 cups fresh cranberries
1 Tablespoon melted margarine

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine all ingredients except yarns in a 2-quart shallow baking dish. Bake about 5 minutes. Remove from oven and add yams; stir gently to mix. Return to oven, bake 25 minutes or until mixture bubbles at edges and yams are warm.
