1 cup chopped yellow onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic or 1 teaspoon garlic powder
8-oz ground turkey breast
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup water
1 16-oz can crushed tomatoes
sauté chopped onion in a saucepan sprayed lightly with Pam. Add ground turkey breast and sauté until turkey browns. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, water, and crushed tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add mushrooms and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer 2 more minutes. This makes 4 cups of sauce. Toss with cooked Penne pasta.
