For Burger:
1-1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4 cup HP Sauce
6 onion kaiser buns
For Sauce:
1 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1/2 to 1 teaspoon ground savory
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon chopped shallots or onions
1/2 teaspoon paprika
For Burgers:
Combine ground beef and HP sauce and form into patties. You should get approximately 6 portions (6 oz). Grill patties until the internal temperature reaches 160 deg F. Toast kaiser buns.
For Sauce:
Combine all the sauce ingredients. Place on top, or under patty, depending on your preference. You will use about 2 oz of sauce per burger.
Makes 6 burgers, sauce recipe makes 2 cups.
NOTE:
For added interest you could garnish with some of the following: Grilled tomato and cucumber slices, julienne of peppers with dill pickle or jalapeño pepper, bacon strips and even jalapeño spiced cheese.
