Harvest Apple Crumb Pie

2/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
6 cups thinly sliced, peeled and cored apples
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Combine sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon and nutmeg in a large bowl; mix well. Stir in apples and toss until evenly coated. Transfer to pie crust; set aside

Mix remaining 1/2 cup flour, butter and brown sugar in a small bowl. Blend until texture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle evenly over pie.

Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until top is golden. Cool on a wire rack.

Makes 8 servings.
