4 slices bacon, diced
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 (14-ounce) cans cut green beans, drained
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Freshly ground pepper to taste
In skillet fry bacon until nearly crisp.
Add onion and cook until onion has softened.
Add green beans, sugar, salt and pepper. Cover and cook over low heat for about 5 to 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
