2 medium acorn squash
50 ml maple syrup 4 tbsp
50 ml margarine or butter 4 tbsp
Heat oven to 350 F (180 C). Cut each squash lengthwise in half; remove seeds and fibers. Place squash, cut sides up, in ungreased pan. Spoon 1 tablespoon (15 ml) butter plus 1 tablespoon (15 ml) maple syrup into each half.
Bake covered about 1 hour or until tender, removing cover for last 15 minutes of baking.
