The base of your house should be at least 6 inches larger all around
the base dimensions of your house so you will have room for landscaping (grass,
fences, trees, etc). The Following items work well:
- Piece of 1/4" or 3/8" Plywood, wrapped with freezer paper or painted white;
- Kitchen Cutting board, wrapped with freezer paper (this works well if you are keeping your house);
- Flat piece of Cardboard, wrapped with freezer paper;
- 1 inch thick Styrofoam.
