Gautreau’s Restaurant Walnut Pie

Source: Gautreau’s Restaurant – New Orleans, Louisiana

1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup real maple syrup
1/2 cup Karo syrup
1 pinch salt
3 eggs
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 prepared pie shell

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and add to a pie shell. Bake for about 1 hour at 350 degrees F until firm.

Serves 8.
