(for Sunshine Cake)
1-1/2 cups sugar
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 egg whites
1 teaspoon vanilla
In top of double boiler, combine sugar, cream of tartar, salt, 1/3 cup water and the egg whites. Place over boiling water and beat about 7 minutes with rotary beater of electric mixer until frosting holds stiff peaks. Mix in vanilla.
