This is the perfect frosting for German Chocolate cake.
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter
1 (5-ounce) can (2/3 cup) evaporated milk (We recommend NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk)
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 1/4 cups flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Combine sugar, butter, evaporated milk and egg in 2-quart saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly (6 to 8 minutes). Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until spreadable.
makes 2-1/4 cups.
